    Fit checklist

    Signs your socks fit perfectly

    • The heel pocket sits right on your heel, not halfway up your ankle.
    • The toe seam lies flat across the tips of your toes without pressing.
    • The cuff stays up all day without leaving deep marks.
    • No bunching under the arch or around the ankle inside your shoe.
    • The thickness suits your shoe, so it isn’t tight or loose.

    Questions

    Sock FAQ

    How should socks fit?

The heel pocket should sit exactly on your heel, the toe seam should lie flat across your toes, and the cuff should stay up without leaving deep marks. Too-big socks bunch and rub; too-small socks slip down and wear out quickly.

    Which sock fibre is warmest?

Wool, especially merino, is warm, breathable and stays comfortable when slightly damp. Thicker cushioned knits also trap more warm air.

How often should I replace socks?

Replace them when the heel or toe becomes thin, the cuff loses its stretch or holes appear. Good care and rotating pairs help them last longer.

Why do my socks get holes in the heel?

Friction from shoes that are slightly loose, long toenails at the toe, and hot washes that weaken fibres are the most common causes. Reinforced heels and well-fitting shoes help.

Should I wear different socks for sport?

Yes. Sport socks use moisture-wicking blends and cushioning in high-impact zones, which help keep feet drier and reduce rubbing during exercise.
